Kanab is just one giant sandbox playground! There is so much to explore where you can be a kid again. Often we hear that many of the places you need a 4×4 high clearance vehicle, or to take a tour company, or that the trail might be too hard for children. Here are 6 kid friendly places to explore around Kanab that you can get to in a sedan. Â
1. Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

2. Toadstool Hoodoos
Be taken to another planet when you explore the Toadstool Hoodoos. Red hoodoos with white sandstone cliffs for a backdrop will make your jaw drop. Read our trail guide here to learn more.Â
3. Belly of the Dragon

4. Stacked cars at Cat Stair Canyon
The highway was sinking and the locals decided to try and prop it up by stacking cars. Obviously this didn’t work. Now a fun, short hike for you and your kids to see the stacked cars at Cat Stair Canyon!Â

These beautiful man-made caverns in the side of the mountain are a fun picturesque stop on your trip to Kanab!Â

Red Hollow Canyon is the perfect introductory slot canyon for children. Short and beautiful best describe this slot canyon. Your children will love walking into the crevices’ of the rock.Â
